This class will consider 11 different Biblical topics, one per week (See Titles, Descriptions, and Dates listed below).

These Bible Studies, re-printed from The Lutheran Witness, examine God's Word & discuss how to apply it in our everyday lives. Through these studies, participants will have and opportunity to ask questions, share faith experiences, and fellowship around God's Word.

Bible Study Topics and Dates

April 14 - Civility & Conviction: Speaking God's truth even when it's met with scoffing, but doing so with civility & the love of Christ. Based on scriptures from Acts:17.

April 21 - The Promise of Christ: Discussing "faith in God's promises" vs. "works of the law" in receiving the gift of Salvation. Based on scriptures from Galatians 3 & other Bible passages.

April 28 - Me? An Apologist? (Apologist=A defender of the faith): Are we ready to discuss the faith, addressing questions of skeptics & sincere inquirers? Based on various scripture passages.

May 5 - Weakness, Suffering & Hope: Encouragement from God's word, based on 2 Corinthians 4-5 & other Bible passages.

May 12 - Confounding Words: Believing the unbelievable, because nothing is impossible with Christ. Based on Acts 9.

May 19 - Facing Temptation With Jesus: Based on various Bible passages.

May 26 - The Fullness of God's Grace: Based on scriptures from 2 Thessalonians.

June 2 - In the Very Midst of Life: ...the snares of death surround us, based on 1 Thessalonians 4.

June 9 - Life is in the Blood: Using various Old & New Testament passages, we see blood is between a sinful humanity & a righteous God.

June 16 - In Jesus Christ: Jesus' name, who He is, His Lordship & Authority, His final judgment & the last day. Based on Philippians 2 & other Bible passages.

June 23 - God Comes for Scallywags: A look at who is in the Genealogies of Jesus, and Why. Based on Matthew 1 & other Bible passages.
